How to setup your email address on Outlook in Windows

Setting up your cPanel-hosted email address in Outlook on your Windows computer is a straightforward process. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started:

Step 1: Gather Required Information

Before you begin the setup process, make sure you have the following details ready:

  • Your cPanel email address (e.g., [email protected])
  • Your cPanel email password
  • Mail server settings (Incoming and Outgoing server addresses)

Step 2: Open Outlook

Launch Microsoft Outlook on your Windows computer.

Step 3: Add a New Email Account

  1. Go to "File" and select "Add Account."
  2. In the "Add Account" window, select the option for "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next."
  3. Select "POP or IMAP" and click "Next" again.

Step 4: Account Information

  1. In the "User Information" section, enter your name and cPanel email address.
  2. In the "Server Information" section:
    • Choose either POP or IMAP as the account type, depending on your preference.
    • Enter the Incoming and Outgoing mail server addresses provided in cPanel.
      • The POP, IMAP and SMTP hostname will be mail.example.com, where example.com is replaced with your actual domain name.
  3. In the "Logon Information" section:
    • Enter your cPanel email address as the username.
    • Enter your cPanel email password.

Step 5: Test Account Settings

  1. Click on the "Test Account Settings" button to verify your settings.
  2. If the tests are successful, click "Next."
  3. Click "Finish" to complete the setup process.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up your cPanel-hosted email address in Outlook on your Windows computer. You can now send and receive emails through Outlook using your cPanel email account.
