How do I whitelist my IP address for Remote MYSQL Access?
Remote MySQL allows remote hosts (servers) to access MySQL databases on your account. This is useful, for example, if you wish to allow shopping cart or guestbook applications on other servers to access your databases
Access to SSH, MySQL, and SFTP is blocked publicly by default for added security. After you whitelist your IP Address for remote access, you'll be able to connect to those services accordingly.
- Log into your Clickhost dashboard at https://clickhost.com.au/manage/dashboard
- Select the type of service on the left-hand side
- Click Manage next to your service on the right
- Click the MySQL Access Whitelist tile on the right-hand side.
- Enter your IP address and hit the plus sign.
To access Remote MySQL you'll need to use the default port 3306 your current database credentials.
